Family Foraging Workshops

Family Foraging is closed for the season, please check our socials is for other events happening during the Winter

Join us for a series of family foraging workshops taking place monthly across the summer at The Roost, Barrow (Lancashire). These small, hands-on sessions are designed for families to explore the plants growing around us, learn how to recognise them, and reconnect with the stories, traditions, and uses that have been passed through generations.

Together we will gently forage, share knowledge, and prepare simple seasonal foods such as teas, syrups, or dishes over the fire, depending on what the land is offering at the time. The sessions are relaxed and inclusive, supporting shared learning across ages in a welcoming outdoor space.

Spaces are limited to 12 participants per workshop (maximum 4 per family) to ensure everyone can take part fully.

These workshops are offered on a donation basis, with contributions given on the day. Booking is essential to secure your place.

Time: 2:00pm – 3:30pm

Location: The Roost, Barrow, Lancashire (What3Words: ///slant.cropping.regal)
