At Earth Seeds Therapy, we partner with schools to create learning environments where every child can connect, regulate, and thrive. We understand the pressures schools face — balancing curriculum demands while meeting the complex emotional, sensory, and developmental needs of pupils.

Our services combine Occupational Therapy, Play Therapy, and Neuroscience-informed practice to help children feel safe, confident, and ready to learn.

We focus on practical, relational support that fits naturally into school life, not additional layers of work for staff.

Our Integrated Approach:

Children learn best when their bodies and brains feel regulated, supported, and understood. Our work brings together the principles of:

Occupational Therapy – to strengthen participation, motor skills, sensory regulation, and functional independence.

Play Therapy – to help children process emotions, experiences, and trauma through creativity, play, and relationship.

Polyvagal and trauma-informed practice – to understand behaviour as communication and build safety through connection.

We work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, parents, and other professionals to ensure consistent, joined-up support across a child’s network.

How We Support Schools

We offer flexible, school-based services that can be tailored to meet the needs of individual pupils, staff teams, or whole-school wellbeing priorities.

Occupational Therapy

OT in schools focuses on helping children participate fully in their day. This may include:

Observing pupils in class or during transitions to identify sensory or environmental barriers.

Supporting fine and gross motor skills, handwriting, and functional independence.

Developing regulation routines and classroom strategies that promote focus and calm.

Advising on sensory-friendly environments, equipment, and classroom setups.

Providing assessments and reports for EHCP evidence, reviews, or targeted interventions.

Each session is practical and interactive, with strategies modelled for staff to use beyond the session itself.

Play Therapy

Play Therapy offers a safe, creative space for children to express themselves when words aren’t enough. It can help children:

Explore and manage big emotions such as anxiety, anger, or sadness.

Build trust and connection after experiences of trauma, change, or loss.

Strengthen self-esteem, confidence, and resilience through play and relationship.

Develop emotional literacy and social understanding within a safe, supportive environment.

Sessions take place in a child-friendly space or within your school setting, always prioritising emotional safety and connection.

Inset days or half-day workshops – combining training, reflection, and hands-on modelling in your own setting.

Leadership sessions – supporting senior teams to embed regulation and relational approaches into school culture.

Ongoing consultation or supervision – offering reflective space for staff to explore challenges and maintain consistent practice.

Why Schools Choose Earth Seeds Therapy:

Schools value our approach because it:

Brings OT and Play Therapy together for a truly whole-child understanding.

Offers practical strategies that teachers can use immediately.

Embeds neuroscience and regulation into everyday routines.

Builds staff confidence and team capacity through training and mentoring.

Supports emotional safety and inclusion, not just compliance.

We aim to strengthen the whole system around the child — teachers, parents, and peers — so progress can continue long after direct sessions have ended.

We understand the financial pressures schools are facing, and we work hard to make our input meaningful and sustainable. Many schools choose to use Pupil Premium or SEN funding to support our services, recognising that early, targeted therapeutic input not only meets pupils’ immediate needs but also strengthens long-term participation, attendance, and emotional wellbeing.
